This Cookie Policy explains how Essentia Memoria uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our platform, in compliance with GDPR and the Turkish ePrivacy provisions under KVKK.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time so you don't have to re-enter them each visit.
We also use similar technologies such as localStorage for client-side state and sessionStorage for temporary session data.

3. Essential vs Optional Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features (authentication, security). No consent is required under GDPR/KVKK for these.
Optional cookies (analytics, personalisation) require your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in your account Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled and without advertising features. Data is aggregated and used only to understand how the Platform is used in order to improve it. We have a Data Processing Agreement with Google LLC as required by GDPR Article 28.
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. How to Control Cookies
In our Platform: Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences — toggle optional cookies on or off.
In your browser: Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies via their settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
6. localStorage & sessionStorage
We use localStorage to remember your UI preferences (dark mode settings, Atlas view states, language) locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.
We use sessionStorage for temporary session flags (e.g. reload detection). This is erased when you close the browser tab.
7. Changes
We will update this policy when we add or remove cookies. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice.
